It’s here. PeopleTools 8.63 posted to My Oracle Support today. 🚨
Not a roadmap. Not a Blueprint 4D slide. A download.
And it did not come alone. All four posted today:
PeopleTools 8.63
FSCM 9.2.057
Interaction Hub 9.1.022
Cloud Manager Image 22
One of the busiest PeopleSoft release days I can remember.
The headline is the AI. 8.63 ships the infrastructure and you connect your own LLM:
Natural Language Assistant replaces the old Picasso chatbot. Ask PeopleSoft questions in plain English.
Code Assist in App Designer explains your PeopleCode, finds bugs, proposes fixes.
Customization Insights surfaces every customization, its upgrade cost, and its owner.
Semantic + typo-tolerant search that still honors row-level security.
Here is my take, and why I am not worried about being replaced: every one of these ships the AI half.
None of them ships the judgment half. The Natural Language Assistant only answers right if someone already told it which rules apply. That someone is you.
This week, drop 8.63 into a demo or PUM environment and try three things:
Run Customization Insights and look at your technical-debt list.
Point Code Assist at your ugliest PeopleCode.
Ask the Natural Language Assistant something real and see where it breaks.
Then come back here and tell us what you found in the comments.
What did it nail?
Where did it fall on its face?
I’ll be posting my own walkthrough in the PeopleSoftCareer Community AI Hub this week.
Who’s downloading it first?
Drop a 🙋 below in the comments and I’ll tag you when the walkthrough is up.
