Inside My Sketchbook

Am I getting bored of quilting? No. But for a few weeks last month I started wondering why I felt so uninspired. I have less time in the summer, but that wasn’t it.

Then I realized that for the past year and a half I’ve mostly been making quilts I’d already designed. Looking through my sketchbook, I found that I’d finished almost all of them. There were hardly any ideas waiting their turn.

So I started drawing again.

I made a list of the rooms and people I want to make quilts for; I made a list of the blocks I am the most excited about playing with; and I made a list of the art that has been inspiring me. This is what I came up with.
