Questioning God?

It has been over six months since I have written. Are you still here? For some of our new subscribers this is the very first post.

Why have I been gone? Well, I have been listening. I took a creative break for many months on all of my projects. I have had a health challenge for almost two years. Things are looking much better, but “whew!” Sometimes the answers are not so easy. Many times we go the doctors to find out what we don’t have. An anti-diagnosis, if you will. I’ll tell you what I don’t have; rabies. Also don’t have sudden spinning ankle syndrome (I made that up, but if it was real, I would be happy to not be infected).

I don’t often quote Yakav Shirnoff, but there you have it. We’re looking at July 4th. We are going to celebrate independence, even though we would have a hard time coming up with any of the independences that were fought for back in the day.

I know that sounds dire, but sometimes the prophet has to say the stuff. Whether we admit or not, the Anti-Christ spirit of Marx has captured many areas of your everyday life. Don’t believe me? Try looking into it. Try collecting rain water in Colorado that falls over your head on your own property. Nope, that is criminal, according to “the state.” Try praying to God in a crowded library “story time” for kids. Oh when evil is called good and such.

Although I can rant and rave all day, that’s not the purpose of the “America Bless God” blog. I feel called to continue to point each one of us to look to the King of Creation and II Chronicles 7:14 ourselves back to life.

Ezekiel 20 speaks to Israel with promises of judgement and of blessing. We are reminded of the many chances Israel had to (shuv) turn to God. How many chances has Abba given you? What number are we on when we consider the many times our country has turned our backs to God. Does each aborted baby count as a time? Does each trafficked child count as a time? Does each incinerated chicken farm count as a time?

Ezekiel 20 could be used as a Passover Haggadah of sorts. It does what a Seder does. It recounts the Exodus from Israel.

Therefore I made them go out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness.

And I gave them My statutes and ^[b]showed them My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them.’

Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.

Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them.

But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles, in whose sight I had brought them out.

So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands, because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols.

Nevertheless My eye spared them from destruction. I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.

Immediately after this, Abba shows the prophet the pattern. The children of those who rebelled and looked to other gods, they followed the same template. They strayed and they committed adultery with foreign deities.

What is the rebuke for the people of Ezekiel’s time? God told them that He will not be questioned by them. I say that to the “smart” people of today with their “newspeak.” You will not stand in judgement over God and say that He is not fair, or that He is unreasonable. You will not build your own lustful nature into a god of your own liking. America, God will eventually give you up to your desires of the flesh. If you continue, you will try your gifts and offerings but you will NOT see His Holy Mountain. That will be for someone else.

Who may climb the mountain of the YHWH?

Who may stand in his holy place?

Only those whose hands and hearts are pure,

who do not worship idols

and never tell lies.

They will receive the YHWH’s blessing

and have a right relationship with God their savior.

Such people may seek you

and worship in your presence, O God of Jacob.

There’s where you get in trouble. Abba warned Israel to “NOT MIX.” Several mitzvot can serve as daily reminders. Do not mix flax and wool. Do not mix with Gentiles. Don’t Romeo all over the stuff that those guys have.

 For when you offer your gifts and make your sons pass through the fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols, even to this day. So shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live,” says the Lord God, “I will not be inquired of by you.

What you have in your mind shall never be, when you say, ‘We will be like the Gentiles, like the families in other countries, serving wood and stone.’

America, you have got to stop mixing. You have got to stop asking what the pagans do. Pick your God and serve Him. If you stare at those ten commandments or play Jesus Loves Me on a loop, it would be a start. It might bring back a little muscle memory of what it’s like to honor God.

Our God is a God of justice. He is a God of judgement. He is One who prunes. He is able to burn out the garbage and bring forth the best of His fruits. He will have His justice and He will have his rewards. Each one of us needs the water of His Word to keep us in green. The rubble will burn in the fire and those of us left will walk with Yeshua our King.

America, stand up and bless God.
