Hello Dear friends
Over the past six months, since I went on a hiatus, I wasn’t sure if it would be permanent or not. Anyway, as you can see I am back. I’ve had time to think. Time to make more mistakes and come to the realisation that writing is the creative endeavour I enjoy the most. My latest work in progress has been sitting on my computer gathering digital dust. However, I intend to finish and publish it next year, hopefully before spring.
I’m not sure how or if I can explain to you how much my stories mean to me. My stories are a part of me that I struggled to set free. For a very long time, I couldn’t see myself as a published author. I felt as if I wasn’t good enough to share anything with the public. It’s not so easy to find readers, as competition is fierce. It’s not easy to put yourself out there, but I had to get over it.
While I was away, I decided to give all my books new covers and give myself a good talking to, which concluded in me restarting my newsletter. I miss communicating with you (Social media sucks now). I decided not to focus too much on how many people read or don’t read this newsletter. Consistently writing it is more important.
You can take a look at the new covers on my website:
As you can see, the new name for this newsletter is Book Cafe As usual, you’ll be able to peek behind the scenes of my life as a fiction author. In addition, I'll be discussing all things bookish.
I intend to write a bi-monthly Bookbabble Substack newsletter.
I will keep this newletter short and sweet and so I will end here. I’ll be back in the new year.
Kindest Regards
Paula
