It s hard to discover Dave Winer s Wordland without following Dave and inferring what he s working on. Here is an explanation of what it is. Put more simply, Wordland is an external writing tool to create and publish on WordPress via an API. The default WordPress interface is heavy and complicated. Wordland is simple and purpose-built. When you have an idea or thought you want to share, things like titles, categories, tags, bold, italic and links slow you down. Just write the thing and press enter.

You really can post to a WordPress blog by writing an email. Turn it on under Settings = Writing and use the email address provided to write from the comfort of your own email account.
