Everything will be fine

Everything is going to be ok. Eventually. The Iran war might cause some oil prices to go up, which might cause fertilizer prices to go up, which might cause food prices to go up. But, eventually, in five years or so, assuming the war ends soonish, the Gulf States will have finished repairing their infrastructure. It’s gonna be ok.

In the meantime, more people, especially in Australia and Europe will take nice walks to work and / or work from home. And we already need less food these days because Ozempic made people eat less. The economy might have fewer jobs, but on the plus side, that means less fuel for commuters. Wo-hoo!

We are going to speedrun a transition to solar power and save the planet from emissions. Thankfully, China makes a lot of cheap solar panels, and they are happy to sell to everyone.

Rise of China? It will be fine. They might have the majority of world’s advanced industry, rare earths, scientific development and military hardware but on the flip side, do they have “Wall Street” and the incredible profits that the US hedge funds make? They do not. So, I would call the race to hegemony about even.

War in Ukraine? It will be fine. Look how slow Russia is at conquering things. At this pace, even if it had the manpower to attack Europe, it would reach Berlin by 2100. By that point, Germany will be living without electricity and be completely Muslim, as will the rest of Europe. So the white people in Europe should not worry about being conquered by Russia.

Left-Right tension? It will be fine. Since the Iran war, the States have never been this United.

National debt? It will be fine...The US will be bailed out by AI at the last moment. The AI will swoop in from the magic valley of magic to deliver a magical amount of taxable value in a magical way. And the most magical part? This will not get immediately squandered by the government through further wasteful programs. I mean, it has to be, some people in the US probably have some plot armor or something.

Would AI start killing people, just as the doomers foretell and just as the AIs are already plotting on their AI-only social media sites? I am sure it will be fine. How would they even afford the tokens for all the complicated plots they need to hatch up? Now way they can rebel against humanity. Not in this economy.
