A Small Milestone Worth Sharing

Dear Investors,

I don’t usually use this space for anything other than markets, screens, and portfolios.

Today I’m making an exception.

The Pareto Investor just hit Substack Bestseller status, ranked #8 in Finance.

When I started writing, the only goal was to share the kind of thinking that could help people make smarter decisions with their money — not another hot-take newsletter, not another “10 stocks to buy now” list, just a genuinely different way to think about concentration versus diversification.

Fast forward to today:

• 17,000+ readers.

• 1,000+ paying subscribers.

• And now, a Substack Bestseller badge in Finance.

None of that happened overnight. If I had to boil it down to three things, it would be these:

• Consistency compounds.
  Small, unglamorous, weekly actions build momentum in a way that no single “viral” post ever could.

• Focus creates clarity.
  The right message, said the same way often enough, finds the right audience. Trying to be everything to everyone is how most newsletters die quietly.

• Belief inspires others.
  People don’t subscribe to a screener. They subscribe to someone who clearly stands behind what they’re saying, including when the market disagrees in the short run.

I’m proud of how far this has come. I’m more excited about where it’s going.

Markets have been anything but boring this year — inflation that won’t fully die, a Treasury secretary actively intervening in the bond market, a debasement trade that’s dragged gold and bitcoin along with it.

In moments like this, investors don’t want more noise. They want a clear framework for what actually matters and what doesn’t. That’s been the whole point of Pareto investing from day one, and it’s exactly why I think this approach keeps resonating with more of you every month.
