Tomorrow is Mission 51!!! At this point the weather is looking great. Tune into 147.570 to get updates from Parachute Control around 9AM. We will also be updating our website, parachutebobile.org, as well. Due to a dental emergency Mark, AF6IM, will not be able to jump, so that just leave me. The plan is to [ ]
Mission 51 is scheduled for August 15, 2026. Mark, AF6IM, and Rob, KC6TYD, will be making QSO s high above Byron Airport in Byron California. QSO frequencies will be 147.570 simplex for 2 meters and 14.250 for HF. Parachute Control will be setup on the summit of Mt Diablo and will provide updates and answer questions [ ]
Thank you for those that participated in Mission 50. Yep, we had the winds in the morning and the clouds in the afternoon. Dmitrii has some pictures of those clouds coming in during his jump. Hello everyone…..Mission 50 is officially a go for tomorrow with the possibility of a weather hold in the morning. Temperature and winds look OK but the forecast is predicting cloudy skies. Hopefully that will clear up. Check back this evening or tomorrow morning for updates.
