Unsuccessful astrological predictions of 2026-27

Listed here are some of the specific (partially or wholly) unsuccessful predictions in my country posts that I have published on my website for the year 2026-27, that is, for the period from March 20, 2026 to March 21, 2027, as well as some of the others that I have published regarding accidents, violence, etc., in my Astro Weather Watch posts.

I do not list all the unsuccessful predictions here, given that it is not possible for me to know all that is happening where, and also, sometimes, there are behind-the-scenes activities that come to light only later or not at all.

I have no interest in fooling people that I am always correct, or that any astrologer can be: however, some can be more correct, others less so. I believe I must be somewhere in the middle. There are two major factors that contribute to not every astrological predictions getting realised: (1) my skill and competence; I consider myself a decent mundane astrologer, but I have yet more to learn, which is always the most exhilarating thing, for it is learning that is exciting, not being right; and (2) the nature of the science; astrology is a probabilistic science, not a deterministic science, which is to say, we are not automatons.

This post will be kept on updated as and when events do not occur corresponding to the predictions. As a reader, if you know of a prediction that I had insisted upon strongly from the 2026-27 time period and yet it has not come to pass, do let me know!

I list the predictions with the date they were predicted, link to the prediction, and, if needed, a remark on what transpired or what did not and anything additional to say. Occasionally, when there is news related to the prediction, link to that news is also provided. The most recent non-events will be at the top.

Prediction published on: March 22, 2026

Prediction made for period: end of March 2026 to end of March 2027

Prediction: “Results in sports to be quite poor, overall, for the country.”

Remarks:

Bangladesh, overall, performed remarkably well in cricket in spring and summer of 2026, with good results against New Zealand and sweeping the Test series against Pakistan. While it did fare very poorly against lower-ranked Zimbabwe, it shocked the cricket world by thrashing the world’s top-ranked Test team Australia in Australia in August 2026, thus achieving its biggest ever win in any sport in its history.

Prediction published on: January 29, 2026

Prediction made for period: June 2026

Prediction: “In capital Seoul, the incumbent Mayor could lose the June 2026 election.”

Remarks:

The incumbent Mayor, Oh Se-hoon, did not lose, eking out a narrow, come-from-behind win, with results declared on June 4, 2026.

Prediction published on: January 17, 2026; also November 9, 2025

Prediction made for period: March 20, 2026, to September 22, 2026, in particular March 26-April 30 or the month of August 2026

Prediction: “A major statesman's or politician's death is firmly indicated. I expect the ruler to fall seriously ill or die during this period. (The probability of him having done so before this period starts does exist, but it is much less strong. As I have said earlier, late March 2026 to late April 2026 is the likeliest time, followed by August 2026. One of the likely dates, as said earlier, is 26-27 March 2026.)”

Remarks:

Major politicians did die during this period, such as former U.S. Secretary of the Interior and former Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne. However, the thrust of this prediction was Donald Trump: while there was a likely assassination attempt, on April 25, 2026, Trump continued to carry out his presidential duties throughout April 2026. It remains to be seen if the prediction was only unsuccessful regarding the likeliest time, viz. April 2026, or will be completely unsuccessful (i.e., if nothing happens till September 22, 2026, especially in August 2026).

Prediction published on: April 10, 2026

Prediction made for period: April 16-April 25, 2026

Prediction: “I am expecting the Iran war to intensify strongly in this period [April 16-April 25, 2026]…. The period of 16 to 25 April 2026 is likely to see intense violence, especially during 17-22 April period, with the dates 19, 20 and 21 April, each of them extraordinarily malefic on the charts, with few parallels in recent times.”

Remarks:

The Iran war did not intensify further in any significant manner during the April 16-25 period, especially with no major kinetic action in Iran or its surroundings. While April 19-21 indeed saw several major fires, explosions and accidents around the world, the Iran war kept on being at the same escalation level as it had been. This prediction, thus, did not realise itself.

Prediction made for period: March 20, 2026, to September 22, 2026, in particular April 15-30

Prediction: “There is highly likely to be major aviation accident(s) involving Boeing plane(s) during this period [of 20 March 2026 to 22 September 2026]. The dates 15-30 April 2026, in particular 15-21 April, are especially vulnerable for such a scenario.”

Remarks:

I do not know of any major accident involving a Boeing plane in the month of April 2026. Boeing was in the news, though, given that an industrial accident seems to have happened at its plant in Wichita (Kansas) somewhere around April 22, 2026, leading to the death of one worker.
