Our Table's Company · Saved You A Seat

Hi Friends!

Since starting Our Table’s Company with mom, there’s rarely a week we don’t set a table of some kind. This week was one of those rare ones with no hosting plans, and honestly? We were okay with it. I’m more introverted than people assume, and a quiet week at home is how I recharge. But quiet doesn’t mean we show up empty handed. We’ve got a little roundup of what we’re each loving right now, plus a cherry lime fizz that’s been getting us through this humid August. The syrup alone is worth saving.

  1. Slim Fit Denim Button-Up Shirt - A button up?! Shocking. Never been seen before.

  2. Skin Affair Soft Glow Cushion Foundation - “I like the coverage and I love how easy it is! It’s fast when we are getting ready to host.” (always comes back to the dinner party!)

  3. Mary Classic Shirtdress - A look from many summer days that translates well into early fall.

  4. The Bible Is for You - A good devotional that doubles as a beautiful coffee table book

  1. Citizens of Humanity Miro Relaxed Jean - Fall is approaching. I’ve never fallen in love with a pair of jeans faster. Pricy but worth the investment.

  2. Baby Cheeks Blush Stick - A makeup product I’ve reordered.

  3. The Awe of God - A devotional I just started but am already thoroughly enjoying!

  4. Watercolor Workbooks - I’m sure you’ve seen them, but for a girl who finds herself on her phone more than she’d like to admit, this is a wonderful hobby for getting off the phone and out of my head.

  5. Ceramic Fish Earrings - I just love a fun accessory (& on sale!)

I don’t know about where you’re at, but August has been so humid this year! This drink is refreshing, tart and just sweet enough. A great midday pick-me-up and it takes two minutes once the syrup is in the fridge.

  • tall glass packed with crushed ice.

  • 1½ oz cherry syrup

  • 1 oz fresh lime

  • top with cold soda water

  • lime wheel & cherries on a pick!

Want a cocktail? add 2 oz of gin or vodka before the soda.

  • 1 cup pitted cherries

  • ½ cup sugar

  • ½ cup water

Simmer 10 minutes, muddling the cherries as they soften to pull out that gorgeous color. Strain and chill!

**a note on the syrup: make it once and it works all week. stir it into your iced tea, lemonade, even a Diet Coke. Ten minutes, keeps up to ten days in the fridge.

One more thing: we started a YouTube channel. Subscribe and you'll be the first to know when the long-form content starts rolling. EVENTUALLY.

That’s all for this week. I love sharing a bit more outside of the dinner parties with you. The fashion, hobbies, family and stories. I think it gives you a better idea of the people behind the table!

Until next time,

Annette & Georgia
