Look out your front window. What do you see? For most of us, it’s a perfectly flat, perfectly uniform, bright green patch of turf grass. We don’t usually think of it as a political statement or an ecological decision—we just think about whether it needs to be mowed, watered, or kept alive. It’s a chore.

But what if that patch of green isn’t just a lawn? What if it’s sitting at the absolute center of a national food, environmental, and health crisis—and simultaneously holds the exact solution we’ve been looking for?
