We have been working this month on securing some funds for development and have scoped out a roadmap for things we would like to add to the OrbitDB ecosystem.
Our GoLang implementation of OrbitDB. Development has started and we are planning another round of development shortly.
We hope to add encryption to both entries and the payloads.
A new user control panel. Users will be able to manage their databases using a GUI/webUI.
OrbitDB's replication peer. It is currently in alpha release and we are hoping to improve it further.
We would like to improve OrbitDB's recovery abilities when peers drop out and reconnect. Helping the sync protocol more easily recover from these outages will make OrbitDB more robust.
We would like to expand some of our infrastructure for better testing and demo-ing. This includes the deployment of more relays and Voyager peers. We currently use Bitlaunch to run this infrastructure.

OrbitDB is an open-source project, built, maintained and supported by a core team of developers who are also community members. We aren't financed by big investors and we don't have a cryptocurrency token. Instead, we rely on the contributions of donors to keep this project moving ahead.
We have big plans for OrbitDB, especially with the next release, but we cannot make these happen without funding. We welcome cryptocurrency donations via our various public addresses.
