The Canada-U.S. Relationship: Despite Trump’s tirades, most Americans positive about northern neighbours Angus Reid Institute New data from the non-profit Angus Reid Institute finds a sizable minority (45%) of Canadians view the American people positively despite widespread detestation of their commander-in-chief (79% unfavourable view of Trump). Still, approaching half (48%) say they view Americans unfavourably. That may come as a surprise to Canadians' southern neighbours, whose views are overwhelmingly positive (79% favourable) coming the other way.

New poll shows growing support for proportional representation Fix Our House Fix Our House and New America partnered together with Verasight to get a sense of Americans’ support for the core principles of proportional representation. Most Americans aren't spending their time thinking through the details of various PR systems; unsurprisingly, we found 2% of respondents could name proportional representation off the top of their heads. But we also found strong support for PR's component parts.
