Friday Morning Report

good morning, happy friday! ok so listen, my social feed has been full of people rejecting the idea of fall right now, but the seasons are definitely shifting here in SF… and i’m kind of here for it. leaves are falling, there’s a chill in the air, and thanks to my pregnancy acid reflux, i can’t really eat a perfectly in-season tomato or raw charcuterie this year anyway, lol. so honestly, i’m over summer.

and speaking of new seasons, i am inching closer to my due date, trying to stay calm and while internally freaking out a little, and doing all the prep humanly possible before Bug arrives. that’s all for me!

R | Broken Country — one of my good friends loved this book, so i picked it up without much thought, and i’ve been totally immersed. the writing is good, the story is even better. it’s equal parts thriller, drama, and romance, and i honestly have no idea what’s going to happen !!

E | Hazelnut Hot Chocolate — i’ve been working for the last 2 months on a postpartum freezer-batch meal prep series for you all, and i’m so excited to start dropping these recipes. i made this one yesterday: a rich drinking chocolate that’s super healing, but also so comforting.

P | The Great Birth Rebellion Podcast — i've been listening to this podcast by Melanie the Midwife, an Australian midwife covering birth, labor, and postpartum education. her approach is less medicalized, so skip it if that's not your thing. she's a clinical and research midwife with a PhD, and i've found her episodes very informative.

O | Osmia Body Mousse — this is the skincare company that can do no wrong, imo. i really, really love every single product they come out with and my newest obsession is the Naked Body Mousse. it doesn’t have a fragrance and keeps my skin soft ALL day.

R | Small Serving Tray — i just got this small stonewashed serving tray and i love it so much. it houses my incense, but it’s also great for silverware during a party or a couple glasses of drinks.

T | Cereal and Yogurt Bowls — on repeat in this house right now. someone said cold cereal while you’re pregnant should be studied, and i fully agree, because it does not have to hit this hard.
