Without our wonderful volunteers, we couldn’t do this event! From arranging flowers to decorating tables, hauling in boxes, setting up the photography studio, helping with the Bazaar and Silent Auction - and more! We have had so many amazing folks helping us over the years!
To make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible, we are looking for a few extra hands to help out across different parts of the day. There are opportunities to help during setup, during the ball itself, and afterwards as we break things down and pack up.
If you are able to arrive early to help set up or spare a little time during the event, please let us know! Additionally, if you’re available to stick around for a time after the event wraps up, any extra help with taking down decor, packing up equipment, and tidying the space would be welcome. Please e-mail Raquelle at info@oldesouthball.com if you are available to help in some fashion.
We welcome themed donations for our Silent Auction. This auction is a highlight of our ball and it benefits Calvary Home for Children, an upstate charity. The auction is themed around high quality items of interest to reenactors and history enthusiasts, dance lovers and costumers, and fun items from the lovely Southeast region. If you have something in mind that you think might be a good fit, please contact Raquelle at info@oldesouthball.com.
Even if you can’t volunteer or donate, you can help us out A LOT by spreading the word to your friends! Social media algorithms sometimes make it hard for us to let folks know about our event, so tell your friends! Tell your enemies! Tell your countrymen! (OK, just telling your friends is fine) We appreciate the word of mouth marketing y’all do every year. Share our website, our Facebook page, or our Instagram channel.
