mon ciel préféré de 2024

2024 was a year of new experiences and milestones.

  • Leapt out from a plane, it was unreal.
  • Caught Coldplay live! I don’t think I stood still even for a second in that electrifying atmosphere.
  • Traveled to Thailand, Singapore, Japan, and the USA.
  • Did my annual Goa retreat. Visited Kochi and loved every bit of it.
  • Had a meal at a Michelin-star restaurant.
  • Completed my MFF PC build.
  • Did seva at a gurudwara. One of the more spiritual experiences I’ve had.
  • Read 18 books. Became a huge Dungeon Crawler Carl fan.
  • Played 38 video games, thanks to my Steam Deck.
    • Found joy in gaming again.
    • Outer Wilds was one of the most profound pieces of art I’ve experienced. Invoked that “quite comprehending of it all” feeling.
    • Joined a video games discord server and ended up helping them with their game of the month voting webapp. It’s great fun and I participate every month. Genuinely some of the nicest people I’ve found online.
  • Built a Plex server for my friends and cut the cord. It’s sooo much better.
  • Started using LLMs in my daily life. I try not to rely on them too much, but it’s a slippery slope. It’s like having a little curiosity satisfier in my pocket. Often during the day I’ll take pictures of things and send it to ChatGPT. If you’re a curious person, the world is now an audiobook.
  • I love all my friend circles.
  • Indian food remains the best. Whenever I travel, I start missing it in a week.

2024 was also the year I became more comfortable with the realities of building a startup. It’s incredibly hard, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. But after three years, I’m proud to have found my stride.

This year felt like life ramping up. Can’t wait for more.
