We are SO honored to have been invited to serve as the Community Organization Grand Marshal for the 2026 Oakland Pride Parade on Sunday August 16th and you know we want to go all out but that means WE NEED YOU!

The parade begins at 10:30 a.m., and we’re asking our contingent to arrive by 10:00 a.m - We will send more details about the exact meeting area and details about the parade route week of the event.
Come as your queerest self but if you want to coordinate, please wear:
any official Oaklash tshirts or other merch you might have (does anybody else have those fans from 2019?)
monochrome colored outfits (no rainbows, think all yellow or pink or red or purple or whatever)
your worst drag (a ratty wig with big sunglasses and lipstick is fab, just don’t upstage Celeste and Beatrix!)
flats (this is gonna be a lot of walking diva, it’s not worth it) or honestly roller skates would be fierce!!!

We’re hustling to put together a block party to kick off Pride weekend here in Oakland in just a few weeks and it’s gonna be an all hands on deck effort to get this huge event off the ground! We’re looking for volunteer ushers, tip kittens, harm reductionists, people who like lifting things, and much more to help us bring this event to life.
Or if you just want to come party with us that’s fierce too — it’s all sliding scale, we just want to see you there shaking your booty on the dance floor. We’ll be announcing our lineup of DJs and performers very soon!
