Fathers day can bring up many emotions…..Joy, Sadness, Love, Frustration. If you feel like you need a break from the day or just want a recharge we are here to help. OAP will be open from 9a-7p Sunday June 21st.

OAP will be open 2pm - 7pm on Friday, June 19th.

For those who missed our previous announcements, we have permanently closed our Laurel clinic, and all acupuncturists are now working out of our Grand Ave clinic. Check out our blog for a lot more information, but some key take aways are:

  • Sarah and Evelyn Have Moved to the Grand Clinic - They will also be taking some well deserved vacations in June:

    • Sarah will be out of town the 2nd through 4th weeks of June

  • How to Book - You can now book appointments for Sarah, Evelyn, Dawn, and Holly through the Grand Vagaro Link.

  • The Future - We are on the hunt for a new ADA accessible clinic to move the whole consolidated clinic to at the end of the year.

  • Contact - Grands new contact info is Laurel old contact info:

  • Parking: There is metered street parking on Grand Ave. If you don’t mind walking farther you can sometimes find free 2 hour parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. Please allow yourself extra time to find a parking spot before your appointment. The clinic does not have any patient parking spots on the premises.

  • Entrance: The entrance to the building is up a short driveway and 6 stairs. There is a railing on the stairs.

  • Door Code: The front door has a code to open it. The code is 4-2-1-ENTER. Please save this code in your phone or memory. It will also be listed in appointment confirmation emails. Please do not bang on the door if you cannot remember the code. We will check periodically if we are waiting for a patient who has not arrived.

  • Building Layout: Just like at Laurel, you do not need to wait in the lobby….just head straight into the treatment room and get comfy. Turn right at the hallway to get to the treatment room door, and turn left to get to the bathroom. The payment prep station is in the lobby and the payment drop box is through the treatment room door and to the left.

  • Welcome Rebeca - Rebeca has worked out of our Laurel clinic for 6+ years and will now be working out of the Grand clinic on Mon / Tues / Thurs / Fri. You can find more information about what she has to offer and book appointments with her HERE and check out her latest newsletter HERE.

  • Welcome Lesley - Lesley is new to our Grand clinic and will be offering Neuromuscular massage on Wednesdays and Sundays. Find out more about Lesley HERE.

You can still find information on all our previous practitioners on our website

We work hard at S/OAP to make sure you get a quality acupuncture treatment in a timely manner in our cozy treatment rooms. Below are three ways you can help us do our job even better, but if you would like to be a superstar patient check out our blog with even more ways to Help Us Help You!

  • Book an appointment - This ensures our ability to see you and everyone else in a timely manner and gives us an opportunity to review your case history before your treatment. If you are looking for a last minute appointment you can call, text, or email the clinic to see what we have available. Please do not just “drop-in” as this disrupts the flow of the clinic, and we may have to turn you away.

  • Arrive on time - Please arrive 5-minutes before your scheduled appointment time so you can get settled in your recliner and are ready to meet with the practitioner at the START of your 10 minute slot. Punctuality is very important to us since we see clients every ten minutes and do not wish to make anyone wait.

  • Do NOT book the New Patient Special more than once - Once you have come in for the first appointment of the 3 visit special please book the rest of your appointments as a “Follow up”. If you book the New Patient special again it will charge you again, and no one likes getting double charged!

This year’s summer solstice is on June 20th. This change of the season brings more heat, an abundance of sunlight, and an opportunity to expand outwards into the world. In Chinese medicine summertime is the season of the Heart and Small Intestine. For more information on how to tend to these organs and also tend to the symptoms that may arise from excess heat like: red face, constipation, irritability, mental restlessness, and sleep disturbances, check out Dawn’s Blog Post.

You are our greatest resource to increase awareness about the awesomeness of community acupuncture. Spread the gift of healing through our community by telling your friends and family about us, or by writing us a review or recommendation on your favorite site: Yelp, Google, Nextdoor
