My name is Titilayo. I’m a designer and fashion tutor, and I love impacting knowledge in people. I enjoy teaching and seeing other people learn from what I know.
I met my husband at his uncle’s house. That happened to be the same house where I was living with my parents at the time.
I can’t really explain it, but all I know is that my feelings towards him were different.
As a young lady, I had other proposal, but with him, it was different. I loved being around him, and everything about him pleased me.
There was just something about him that made me feel differently in positive way.
My husband is my best friend, my love. He is a sweet soul. He is very loving, caring and responsible.
He is someone who has sacrificed so much for me and my children. I mean his happiness, his time, his comfort anything you can name. He has always been willing to sacrifice for his family.
I pray my good Lord rewards him for all his sacrifices with all the good things in this life and the Hereafter.
We knew each other for about two to three years before marriage.
There has hardly been a time when something was only for one person. My husband has always chosen to leave things for me.
For example, when my phone had issues and his is only phone available, my husband left it for me. He is the kind of person who will make sure I’m comfortable even when it means discomforting himself.
But above all those sacrifices, he has been sleeping inside his tricycle, for the past five years in order to bring food to the table for the family, regardless of the discomfort.
That is one sacrifice I can never forget.
Honestly, I love the private moments we share as husband and wife. Those intimate moments are very special to me because they make me feel close to him and remind me of the bond we share.
After all these years, those moments still make me appreciate the relationship we have built together.
We’ve been married for 26 years.
I think it is the love, care and sacrifices we continue to make for each other. My husband has always been there for me and the children, and I don’t take that for granted.
