Today, Girlfriend, Wife releases their first EP God Made Me A Star. The project spans 7 tracks that are diverse in sound, but completely honed in on a united vision. Through an ethereal lens, the pair turn the dull into something divine and thrive as a unit destined to shine. Drawing influence from Madonna to shoegaze, it’s a melting of the minds that is sure to soundtrack the lives of those lucky enough to find it. Although the answers already lie within the detailed dreamscape the girls have built, we couldn’t help but ask for more.

If you’re Debbii Dawson, you channel those anxieties into the excellent new EP Where Have All The Good Men Gone? The project, created out of Dawson’s worries about everything from disasters on the news, to complicated personal relationships, is an 80s-pop-lover’s dream, full of dazzling synths, glittering electric keys, and dramatic choruses you’ll want to scream along to.
London/Paris-based French indie rock artist bothsxdes dropped his hotly anticipated debut EP wholehearted today, where he oozes confidence across five tracks filled with a kaleidoscope of human emotion. Debut single, “twentytwenty,” released last year, was a promising preview of the kind of shapeshifting indie prowess bothsxdes unleashes on wholehearted, displaying that he is truly one to watch on a record that is as intimate as it is expansive.

We sat down with Simon the day after her Forum debut to chat all things touring, checking your ego at the door, and her favorite creative outlets on the road.
