When I first listened to the audiobook of Byron Lane’s first novel, A Star is Bored, I was going through a rough time, feeling like a lone, raw-nerved being in a big tough world. Byron’s novel made me feel less alone. There’s a vulnerability and sensitivity to his writing — an admission of humanity — that shines out like a beacon to other sensitive souls. I know you’ll hear his kindness and generosity in this episode too.
