Hey readers! Wow, it’s been a busy summer. Sara has done quite a bit of traveling and shared excellent reading resources, Chelsey has been tending to her garden and reading a few super short classics.
There’s scarcely been time to turn back to Novel Pairings before we officially close up shop, so today we are checking in with updates and reminders.
If you’ve been missing our Novel Pairings readalongs, you’re not alone. We miss them, too! We both have upcoming readalong experiences you may be interested in joining.
In August, read Quicksand by Nella Larsen with Chelsey.
August 8th: Pre-Reading Newsletter
August 15th: Discussion for Ch. 1-12
August 22nd: Discussion for Ch. 13-25
August 29th: Post-Reading Reflection
In September, read Possession by A.S. Byatt with Sara. Schedule TBD.
At the end of this month, we will archive our Patreon page. At that time, your subscriptions will end and our content will not be accessible via that platform. Bonus episodes like the “Love & Loathe” interview series and personal pairings will not be available, so now is the time to catch up on your listening. Classes and Recap Bundles are available for sale on our new Gumroad Storefront.
To be clear: our storefront holds the same content that is currently on Patreon. If you are paying for a Patreon subscription, there is no need to additionally purchase from Gumroad unless you want to keep the content after Patreon closes down. Patreon members will get a discount code for future use.
Products listed on Gumroad are yours to download and keep. Our greatest hope is for teachers, book clubs, and individual learners to purchase these bundles and enjoy their own self-paced, collegiate level courses and readalongs.
Our entire catalog of public podcast episodes is still free and available wherever you get your podcasts. We hope you enjoy catching up on episodes you may have missed or re-listening to some of your favorites.

We'll be back soon to share more about our upcoming projects for the fall. Until then, we declare after all, there is no enjoyment like reading. How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book!
