In this episode of Who’s Afraid of Gender?, we trace how anti-gender politics take shape across different national contexts - from Slovenia and Serbia to Germany, Hungary, and Russia - and how these struggles are deeply entangled with questions of democracy, knowledge production, and political power.

Drawing on conversations with Roman Kuhar, Adriana Zaharijević, Annette Henninger, Andrea Pető, and Marianna Muravyeva, the episode shows that anti-gender mobilization is not a single ideology, but a set of adaptable strategies: provocation, institutional capture, epistemological attacks, and the reframing of rights as illegitimate “privileges.”
