The Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, a leader in health in Argentina, presented its 2025-2026 Management Report, a document that compiles the institutional memory and sustainability report.

This sixth edition covers the period between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, consolidating a policy of transparency and continuous improvement initiated in 2016.

The report reflects advances in care quality, digital transformation, people development, and environmental and economic sustainability, reaffirming the Hospital’s commitment to medical excellence and social responsibility.

Patient Experience

  • Person-centered model: a care system based on the voice of patients and families was consolidated.
  • Reduction of missed appointments: 109,010 appointments were avoided thanks to WhatsApp reminders and improvements in care processes.

Digital Transformation

  • New comprehensive platform: optimizes administrative processes and strengthens patient care.
  • Artificial intelligence tools: applied to improve medical practice and speed up healthcare.

Environmental Sustainability

  • Waste reduction: 11.6% decrease in waste generation, with circular economy and composting initiatives.
  • Fewer emissions: 24% reduction in greenhouse gases during the period.

Economic Performance

The Management Director, Dr. Matías Antonini, highlighted that the positive economic result allowed the allocation of 22,715 million pesos to infrastructure, medical equipment, and state-of-the-art technology.

In a non-profit institution, this performance ensures reinvestment and the sustainability of care quality.

Institutional Vision

The Medical Director, Dr. Esteban Langlois, emphasized that the integration between care, health coverage, and academic activity strengthens the institutional model. The Health Plan regained its growth pace, and the University consolidated its academic proposal and strategic alliances.

Felicitas Herrera, head of the Social Responsibility and Sustainability Department, stated:

“The Management Report reflects our commitment to a way of doing health that combines care excellence, innovation, professional training, environmental care, and people development.”

Specialization and Trajectory

The Hospital Italiano is recognized for its ability to address serious diseases and high-complexity situations. Among its outstanding areas are:

  • Cardiovascular surgery.
  • Neurosurgery and transplants.
  • Robot-assisted surgery.
  • Intrauterine fetal surgery.

It has highly specialized professionals and a modern technological park that allows for more precise diagnoses, in less time and with lower radiological exposure. Its two general hospitals —in Almagro and San Justo— have exclusive infrastructure for critical and hypercritical care, as well as an extensive surgical plant equipped with laminar flow, robotic surgery, and three-dimensional virtual planning.

The 2025-2026 Management Report of the Hospital Italiano shows how the combination of technological innovation, medical excellence, and environmental and social commitment can generate a positive impact on the community.

The institution reaffirms its leadership in health and its ability to evolve towards a sustainable model, centered on people and prepared for future challenges.
