Hello!

I missed writing to you for the last 3 weeks.

Life has been wonderfully chaotic. I was hosting my second slow living experience in Bir for the first two weeks and then my family visited in the third. Between planning, logistics, activities, conversations, and constantly being around people, I barely had a moment to sit with my own thoughts.

Now everyone has left. And after spending the last three days doing absolutely nothing, I finally feel ready to write.

A lot happened over those two weeks — pottery, dance, poetry making, yoga, meditations, hikes, village walks, a meal cooked on a chulha in a local home, a tea estate tour, embroidery workshops, metaphor coaching, bonfires, games, and more conversations than I can count.

But when I think about the last two weeks, one moment stands out above everything else.

It happened during the Inner Critic Workshop. We were wrapping up the session and everyone was sitting in a circle. Over the last hour, we had all shared our insecurities. Some with tears floating in their eyes, some with relief, everyone with a smile of contentment on their face. The lightness of feeling heard, feeling safe, feeling unjudged.

It was such a beautiful thing to witness.

When I think about that moment, I realise why I wanted to host a women-only experience in the first place. I wanted to create a space where women could step away from their responsibilities for a while, where they didn’t have to take care of anyone else, where someone else handled the planning, logistics, decision-making, and mental load.

But there was also a more selfish reason.

I wanted to experience sisterhood. I wanted to know what it feels like to be surrounded by feminine energy. I wanted to build new female friendships.

I got both.

Over the two weeks, I watched women challenge themselves physically, slow down mentally, revisit long-pending hobbies, trust strangers a little more, share their deepest feelings, and allow themselves to simply be.

It was far more exhausting than I had anticipated. And far more rewarding too. I left feeling proud and completely exhausted.

Holding space for people is invisible work. Creating an environment where strangers feel safe enough to become friends takes more out of you than you can plan for. I hadn't fully understood that until now. Which is why my body has voted unanimously in favour of rest.

So now, the plan is simple: Sleep. Eat. Go for walks. Stare at mountains. Recover. And then get ready for whatever comes next.

The original plan was to head to Ladakh this month to scout locations for the next experience. But I’ve decided to stay put in Bir for June. Need to slow down.

It’s been a while. Tell me, how have you been?
