A total of 290 fires were dealt with by services in Cavan and Monaghan last year.
Gorse or forest fires recorded the highest call-outs locally in county Cavan in 2025, with 47 such incidents, while 24 occurred in Monaghan.
Other high figures included 32 for motor vehicles across both counties.
Outdoor rubbish fire call outs were much higher in Monaghan than Cavan at 14 for Monaghan and 2 for Cavan.
While there were 38 chimney fires in 2025 locally with 21 of them occurring in Cavan during the 12 month period.
