Displaying their love for horses at a young age, sisters Maia and Kora McGowan enjoyed success at the recent Roosevelt County Fair held in Culbertson. Leaders for the City of Scobey are aiming to improve recreational opportunities by making a significant addition in the community with the establishment of a trail network throughout many parts of Scobey. Scobey Mayor Morgan Lekvold explained that the idea of a walking trail started when school officials inquired about creating a safe path from the school’s property to the football field.

Average gasoline prices in Montana have risen 8.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.31/g on Monday, Aug. 17, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana.
