Week 17 - Set Your Mind
In this sermon Pastor Andrew unpacks Romans 8:1-11 where Paul talks about a life lived in the Spirit. The battle against sin takes place primarily in our minds and there are 3 things you must remember to have victory: 1. You must know how God sees you. 2. You must set your mind on the things of the Spirit. 3. You must rely on the power of the Spirit.

Week 16 - Who Will Deliver Me?
In this passage Paul describes the life of a believer as a battle. We have the Spirit of God living in us but we also battle our flesh.
Week 15 - The Law or Christ
In this passage the Apostle Paul talks about our relationship to the law as followers of Jesus. He uses the example of marriage to show that we have been set free from the law so that we can now belong to Christ.
Week 14 - Slaves of Righteousness
In this passage Paul answers the question: Can I keep sinning because I'm not under the law but under grace? Paul tells us that everyone is either a slave to sin or a slave to God. So in our daily lives we are called to offer ourselves as instruments of righteousness instead of instruments of sin.
Week 13 - Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
In this passage Paul is responding to an objection to justification by faith: do Christians keep sinning more and more just so God's grace keeps abounding? Paul's answer is no, of course not! We died to sin!
Week 12 - The Two Adams
In this passage the Apostle Paul compares Adam and Jesus as representatives of the human race. What did Adam's actions and choices bring to us and what did the life, death and resurrection Jesus bring to us?
Week 11 - Holding Up the Diamond
In this passage Paul keeps talking about all the benefits of being justified by faith. In verse 1-5 he lays out 5 more benefits and in verses 6-11 he answers how we can know all of this is true!
Week 10 - Identity, Assurance and Hope
In this passage we see Paul again laying out the foundation of justification by faith. Pastor Andrew talks about 3 things justification by faith gives us: identity, assurance and hope.
