We don’t usually break from our weekly cadence, but some news is worth its own post. This is one of those.
CreateOS just ranked #1 on the ComputeSDK Sandbox Benchmarks - out of 27 providers.
Not by our own measurement. On an independent, public leaderboard that anyone can verify, run on identical hardware (4 vCPU / 16GB RAM, Northern Virginia, US).
Here’s what “time to interactive” looks like on CreateOS sandboxes:
Median TTI: 0.34s
P95 TTI: 0.38s
P99 TTI: 0.38s
Composite score: 96.5, ahead of every other provider on the board.
But here’s the part we’re most proud of: look at the gap between the median and the P99. There barely is one.
Anyone can post a fast median. Almost nobody can post a P99 that close to it. That 0.04s spread means your sandbox spins up just as fast on the worst day as it does on the best one: no cold-start lottery, no tail latency surprises. Consistency at that level doesn’t happen by accident. It took a lot of blood, sweat, and sleepless nights from the team to get here.
Being the fastest sandbox is table stakes for us. What you build on top of that speed is where CreateOS really pulls away:
