We heard you loud and clear! So many people asked us to send another NMA Monday Alert before Christmas and the consensus was that nobody can really get into the Christmas spirit unless they get to read another edition of the NMA Monday Alert.

A few weeks ago we got an email out of the blue, which basically said (our words, not theirs): “Hi, this is former EU commissioner Margrethe Vestager and I would really like you to come to Copenhagen to start a process that will enable Europe to build social platforms itself!” and so of course we packed our bags and went to Copenhagen to meet with five dozen people from around Europe to discuss how we can just do that. This was the beginning of a process that will last all through 2026, so please make sure to be a part of it and check out Rebuild! It was so great to see people again that we have been working with since we went to the amazing Reboot conference some 20 years ago. Also, some people needed reading glasses now…
Thank you Ditte, Thomas and Margrethe for starting Rebuild! We will now explore how Masumi can be part of the open source infrastructure necessary for connecting the social graphs of Europeans.
This event is such a wonderful part of the event calendar in Hamburg. The combination of presentations and round table talks with founders and then music from a shanty choir is already pretty good, but if you add Korn, Brausepulver and Kieler Sprotten to the mix, it gets to be a pretty nice evening with great people.
Our Managing Partner Nico was asked to be in the jury for the Tech Awards 2025 and he happily obliged and read through lots of really good company pitch decks. More than 300 people were at the Tech Awards Gala 2005 in Berlin and our portfolio company Zaubar won one of the prestigious awards. Congrats!
