It’s official: I’m looking for ARC readers for my upcoming release, A Trove of Smallish Things: A Collection of 100-Word Fantasy.

Want to help out indie authors and get to read books before they’re released? Then you just might be an ARC reader… and you don’t even know it yet!

ARC stands for "advance reader/review copy," and an ARC campaign is a standard practice in the publishing world where a few select readers can get access to brand-new books and help out authors by writing honest reviews.

The answer’s pretty simple: Wherever you like to review books is exactly where your review should go. Here are some ideas:

  • Amazon, Kobo, Barnes and Noble, Apple, or any other retailer that allows reviews

  • Goodreads

  • The StoryGraph

  • Instagram

  • TikTok

  • YouTube

  • Pinterest

  • Substack

  • your personal website or blog

Click the link to fill out the Google Form. If I think you’d be a good addition to the ARC team (and, unless you’re a bot or some other sort of artificial weirdo, I probably will), I’ll send you a link to the e-book ARC (via BookFunnel) that you can download and enjoy.

I want to be an ARC reader!

If you don’t have a Gmail address or can’t use the form for some other reason, you can still be an ARC reader.

  • If you’re subscribed to me, let me know in the comments that you’d like to read the ARC, and I’ll get your e-mail address from my subscriber data.

  • If you’re not subscribed to me… well, why not?
