Grab your mug, your blanket, your cat, whatever creature comforts you need, because Belladonna is here this week and she is… not subtle.
I pulled this card and immediately felt that little electric jolt behind the ribs — you know the one? The “oh no, I know exactly what this is about” sensation. Belladonna has that effect. She doesn’t whisper. She arrives like a midnight perfume — sweet, dangerous, intoxicating — and asks you to stop running from what’s already circling your life.
This week’s energy is all about surrender, clarity, and accepting the parts of your path that are already in motion, even if you didn’t exactly volunteer for them.
Let’s get into it.
Belladonna has always been a plant of paradox: medicinal and poisonous, beautiful and deadly, alluring and terrifying. Historically used by witches, healers, and the occasional Renaissance woman who wanted her pupils to look seductively large (highly don’t recommend), Belladonna tells the truth even when we’re not ready for it.
And that’s the energy this week:
Truth you can’t keep dodging.
A path you can’t unknow.
A decision that’s already been made on a soul level.
This isn’t about doom or “fate is sealed.” It’s about recognizing that you’ve already planted seeds — choices, intentions, boundaries, endings — and now they’re sprouting whether you’re ready or not.
Think of it like clicking “place order.”
You did it.
The potion is already shipping.
Tracking number provided by the universe.
Belladonna doesn’t ask you to collapse. She asks you to stop pretending you’re not already halfway through a transformation.
Maybe you’ve been resisting:
A breakup
A career shift
A move
A boundary you know you need
A truth about someone’s character
A truth about your own character
If you’ve been fighting the inevitable, this is your cosmic tap-out moment.
Belladonna grows in dark places. She thrives in the corners. So does the part of you that’s waiting to bloom.
This is a week for:
Shadow journaling
Naming the fear instead of dancing around it
Noticing where you self-sabotage
Being radically honest with yourself, even if your ego throws a tantrum
You’re not lost. You’re stalling. There’s a big difference.
The whisper you’ve been ignoring?
Yeah.
That one.
Let’s be honest: most of us like control.
We like to think we’re in charge.
We like to pretend if we plan the week perfectly — colors coded, alarms set, snacks prepped — nothing unexpected will yank our life sideways.
But this week?
Life’s giving you the look.
You might feel:
A conversation pushing itself forward
A decision you can’t delay
An ending that feels overdue
A beginning that scares you
A truth you can’t un-hear
You don’t have to like it, but you do have to stop resisting it.
✨ 1. Don’t force what isn’t flowing.
You’ll waste energy trying to hold shut a door the universe is obviously kicking open.
✨ 2. Let clarity be uncomfortable.
Truth burns a little. That’s how you know it’s working.
✨ 3. Don’t say “it’s fine” when it’s not.
This card hates people-pleasing. She will glare at you.
✨ 4. Stop revisiting old cycles just because they’re familiar.
“Comfortable” and “healthy” are not synonyms.
What truth am I resisting because accepting it would require action?
Where do I pretend I’m confused, even though I’m not?
What part of my fate feels like it’s already unfolding, and how can I work with it instead of against it?
“I trust the path I’m on, even when it challenges me. I allow clarity, truth, and transformation.”
This is a simple 5-minute ritual—no poison required, don’t worry.
You’ll need:
One candle (any color — though purple, black, or white are ideal. And remember: No purple? No black? White works. White is the universal substitute.)
A small slip of paper
Matches or a lighter
A bowl/pot of water or salt for safety
Steps:
Light your candle.
Write one thing you’ve been resisting — a truth, a decision, a next step.
Hold the paper and say aloud:
“I release resistance. I accept clarity.”Burn the paper safely in the flame, dropping it into the bowl/pot.
Close with:
“Let what needs to come, come. Let what needs to go, go.”
You’re done. Keep the candle burning a little longer if you feel called.
“Perhaps the destiny of the world is determined less by the battles that are lost and won than by the stories it loves and believes in.” — James Baldwin
Because accepting our fate isn’t about defeat — it’s about stepping into the story we were always meant to live.
Where is Belladonna tapping at your window this week?
What truth is rising in you — gentle or sharp, welcomed or inconvenient?
Share in the comments — your rituals, your doubts, your “I knew this was coming but ugh, really?” moments. I love hearing all of it, even the messy parts. Especially the messy parts.
And if this post lit a little spark in you, pass it along to a friend who’s wrestling with their own fate this week.
