Hi friend,
Next May I get to be the spiritual guide for a wonderful group of women walking a section of the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Most of them don’t know each other and they’re all from different parts of the US, carry different stories, and everyone of them is a WOACA (women of a certain age 😜).
On our last Zoom prep call, we were talking about what had spurred them into signing up to walk hundreds of miles across Spain, and one by one, they shared almost the same thing.
🥾 “I feel a bit lost, like I’m at a crossroads.”
🥾“My life looks good on the outside, but inside I feel weirdly disconnected and discombobulated.”
🥾 “I want to do something for me instead of everyone else and now’s the time.”
🥾 “Spiritually I’m all over the place and have lots of questions. I need some space to walk and talk it out with God and other women like me”
They’re not going for the history, the exercise, the scenery or the cathedral architecture (although those are all bonuses for sure).
They need space, discernment, reconnection, and to feel like themselves again.
TBH, I wasn’t surprised.
Because I’ve felt this way myself and so many of you have told me you do too.
We WOACA (women of a certain age 😆🤪) are feeling a little untethered.
A tad restless. As if there’s a tug or whisper within us we’re struggling to name.
Craving something we can’t quite put your finger on.
Not because life is bad. Most of you tell me life is pretty good and full for the most part. You’ve even built the life you once hoped for and love your people and are loved back.
But it turns out being a WOACA is harder than we expected and we’ve started asking all these types of questions and more.
Which is exactly why I’m hosting The Wildly Known Life Retreat.
I’m not going to pretend I’ve got a five-step plan to fix it. You know me, I don’t do golden unicorns 🦄 🌈 🦋.
What I do have is a beautiful lake house in the foothills of NC, tea and cake (because we always need 🫖+🍰), some gorgeous views where nature’s showing off, and a weekend built entirely around helping you stop to hear that whisper instead of drowning it out with one more to-do list.
No worship bands. No stage. No pretending you’ve got it all figured out. Just nature, rest, a bit of wild worship (trust me, it’s not woo-woo), some proper cake, and space to reconnect with yourself and with God without anyone needing anything from you for 48 hours.
More details (including the actual schedule and accommodation details etc, because I know you’ll want to see it before you’ll even think about coming) are all HERE.
Right now there’s an Early Bird Rate to save $100.
It ends August 16th when the price goes up — so if you already know in your gut this is a yes, now’s a very good time to make it official.
I would absolutely love to have you there.
Niki
P.S. Yes, there’ll be coffee too, not just tea😜. No, you won’t be roughing it in a tent although I do love a good camping trip. And yes, there’ll be s’mores. I contain multitudes.
One minute we’ll be responding to God’s invitation to meet him in and through his creation and the next we’ll be chatting over charcuterie and wine as the sun sets over the lake.
Talk about heavenly.

P.PS. If you haven’t listened yet, I shared more about this feeling of being untethered and disconnected in this week’s episode of The Wildly Known Life podcast. It might put words to something you’ve been experiencing too.
