The sun moves through each of the Human Design gates; one gate every 5-6 days. As it does, it brings a collective theme to humanity, a spark on the treasure map of our Human Design chart that can be felt and invites exploration. I call these Stories from the Stars. Plus read to the bottom for details of upcoming events.
Please note: From 1 August, I am on a creative sabbatical for a month, however, I have scheduled the Stories from the Stars emails so these will continue to come out to you while I’m gone! If you are not currently a Starduster, here’s where to sign up!
From today until 30th July, it’s the turn of Gate 31: The Gate of Influence.
Pull out your Human Design chart and see if you have Gate 31 defined (coloured in). If you do, you already know this energy, you have consistent access to it at all times. You might feel it a little stronger right now, and you’ll see it in those around you. The core energy here is about influence. Gate 31, the Gate of Influence, carries a strong and sometimes insistent drive to lead, to speak on behalf of others, and to communicate in a way that creates direction and moves people forward.
Gate 31 sits in the Throat Centre and connects to Gate 7, the gate of the role of the self, via the Channel of the Alpha. Together they form the full arc from inner sense of direction to the public expression of that direction in a way others can follow.
Gate 31 speaks in a way that lands as leadership, to communicate with enough clarity and conviction that others naturally orient toward it. The influence this gate generates is meant to be a signal, pointing toward who is genuinely ready to lead and which direction is worth moving in together.
In its high expression, Gate 31 brings a remarkable capacity for democratic leadership. People with this energy defined lead not by force or position but by recognition. Others invite them to the front. Their communication carries a natural authority that comes not from ego but from genuine alignment with what the collective needs. This is the energy of someone who speaks and people listen, not because they demanded attention but because what they said was worth hearing.
In its low expression,
