Big week in the Village! First — Tom and I just wrapped the last “Theater of Trash” segment on the Nick D Podcast before Theater of Trash officially launches as its own show on the Radio Misfits Podcast Network on September 2nd! Also, Jim Ryan stopped by with a stacked concert rundown, and over on That Show I dug into the three times SNL was hosted by a James Bond.

Tom Hush joins for the final “Theater of Trash” segment before the new show launches. Tom and Nick dig into the truly bizarre, insanely entertaining Italian flick Live Like a Cop, Die Like a Man — very, very loosely inspired by Starsky & Hutch, complete with an extended motorcycle chase and the bloody death of a seeing-eye dog, among other crazy things.
Esmeralda Leon jumps in later and we drift into a preview of weekend fun, a deep analysis of The Lord of the Rings, more celebrity phobias, and a very weird bug invasion at Esma’s house!
Jim Ryan is back with his latest interviews, including a chat with Corey Glover of Living Colour — plus a packed concert rundown covering Chicago and Styx at Allstate Arena, Guns N’ Roses and Public Enemy in Tinley Park, Rush at the United Center, and Billy Idol at Ravinia. We also compare notes on this past weekend’s Fan Expo at the Rosemont Convention Center.

We start with Pierce Brosnan’s hilarious 2001 appearance, then move on to Daniel Craig’s two turns as host in 2012 and 2020, and wrap it all up with a montage of Sean Connery’s greatest Celebrity Jeopardy moments. Bond. James Bond. Saturday. Night.
