The Path to Ascension is Descent

In last week’s article, “Navigating the Spiritual Challenges of 2026,” I shared how humanity is in a significant transition. The old must crumble for new, more serving systems to be rebuilt. Today, I’m taking you deeper into this process, exploring our current stage of evolution, explaining what I believe is taking place, and how this will all impact you at a more personal level.

I want to start by explaining some of our current planetary influences. Those who study tropical astrology (the most common form of astrology in the Western world) believe we’ve recently entered the age of Aquarius. But based on true sky placements, this isn’t the case.

Most people don’t realize that tropical astrology, created over 2000 years ago, no longer matches the actual true sky placements like it once did. While the tropical zodiac is fixed to the months and seasons, the Earth’s axial wobble causes the stars’ positions to shift over time. This has caused a gap of roughly 24-27 degrees between where the tropical signs first originated and the current location of the constellations.

In astrological terms, this displacement is significant.

Pluto is considered the main driver of the Age of Aquarius. In true sky astrology (also known as true sidereal), however, it is still over a decade away from entering Aquarius.

Instead, Pluto has recently entered Capricorn.

Capricorn represents structures, hierarchy, and tradition. Pluto’s time here is associated with the transformation (or dismantling) of banking systems, government power, and corporate authority. Its move into Aquarius marks a shift from top-down to collective power. These themes, which have just begun to play out, will continue to unfold over the next decade.

Let me repeat that.

Astrologically (based on true sky placements), we’ve entered a time of transformation and dismantling (Pluto) of structures, hierarchy, and tradition (Capricorn). If you watch the news for just thirty seconds, it’s apparent this process is now taking place. A process that, based on the planets, will play out for more than the next ten years.

This external shift, however, only mirrors something even more important.

As the world’s systems crumble, a parallel transformation must also take place. A transformation within ourselves.

When you understand the holographic nature of reality, you recognize that our external world is a mirror. You experience what you are a vibrational match to. This principle applies to the collective as well. Our societal systems can’t evolve beyond our collective vibration. The now crumbling structures once served humanity because they matched the collective consciousness at their time of creation. But humanity’s consciousness has been evolving. We’re shifting beyond the current vibrational threshold of what now exists.

For humanity to anchor the true golden age, new structures and systems need to be built. Structure and systems that are a better match to where humanity is heading as a collective. For these structures to be built, before any single brick is placed, a greater vibrational shift within humanity must also take place.

As the no longer serving aspects of our external reality crumble, so must crumble the no longer serving aspects we carry within ourselves.

The transition to the Age of Aquarius must first happen within us. The planet doesn’t shift into the golden age and bring us with it. We shift into the embodiment of that version of Earth, and reality meets us there.

After nearly 15 years of working with individuals, I see that this inner crumbling is accelerating. There’s more contrast and confusion in people’s lives than ever. Many lack clarity, direction, feel sideswiped by unexpected challenges, and find that the habitual ways of doing things no longer work.

These themes are not punishments; they are our great initiations. They are designed to bring us closer to the version of ourselves matching the golden age frequency. They are designed to help surface the density we can no longer carry forward. As uncomfortable as it is, it’s the medicine towards becoming your higher consciousness version of you.

Many people believe they’ll wake up one morning to find everything is suddenly love and light. This is not what is taking place. This planetary transition is about us elevating to meet the consciousness of the golden age, not the other way around.

The golden age isn’t something that just gets delivered to our doorstep like an Amazon package.

It was shared with us through a channeled conversation that in the golden age, we’ll have dominantly integrated our emotional pain bodies. This doesn’t happen by chance; you won’t just wake up one day fully integrated. It happens when you learn to descend into your pain and process it. The work is in working through the lower mind’s triggers (through higher mind pivoting) and processing the bulk of the emotional density you carry.

Only you can initiate yourself into doing this work.

This brings me to the popular topic of Ascension and how it relates to this shift.

Ascension doesn’t happen to you because you practice love and light and sleep with crystals under your pillow. It isn’t about suddenly being teleported to a parallel new Earth reality. Ascension is the Collective process of the upliftment of humanity’s vibration to match the new Earth reality, yes. But that vibrational upliftment happens through you and the upliftment of your own frequency.

How do you effectively uplift and hold a higher frequency? Through descent.

By descending into the aspects within yourself that weigh it down.

Two variables impact your vibrational frequency moment to moment.

First, your baseline. You have a default baseline frequency you’re generally attuned to. You could consider this to be your average frequency level.

Second, your moment-to-moment frequency shifts, which are influenced by the real-time events taking place in your reality. For example, if you enter a room of angry people complaining about the weather, you might calibrate to them, lowering your frequency.

You may then leave that room and head next door to a sound healing class. While in this class, you relax, feel good, and your frequency returns to your baseline and may elevate higher.

After the sound healing class is over, you may hold on to that good feeling for a few hours, which may slowly dissipate as you return to your baseline.

Those who study and work with me understand that both your variable frequency and baseline are important. You need to manage your vibration moment to moment so that you’re not allowing circumstances in your reality outside of your control to pull your frequency down.

But, even more importantly, is raising your vibrational baseline. When your vibrational frequency baseline is high, which is your natural state, you no longer need to rely on practices or effort to find alignment, because you’re automatically calibrated at a high level.

How do you raise your vibrational baseline? Through descent. By descending into yourself and exploring the messy, sticky, uncomfortable parts of yourself that pull your frequency down.

The true path to your ascension and the doorway to the golden age is to descend within yourself and work through the density you carry. To elevate your baseline to the higher levels in true resonance with the golden age experience.

You don’t need to be spiritually aware for this process to take place. This process is happening organically at an individual level through the contrast in reality. This is the greater purpose of contrast: to bring new awareness, surface unprocessed emotions, and initiate shifts to higher consciousness.

For spiritually aware individuals, you can be more proactive in this process, knowing it’s a call for you to descend and process density. The more skilled you become at this process, or better yet, by working with a skilled facilitator, you can accelerate through these initiations and find yourself on the other side.

The key takeaway from this article is this: The door to ascension is through descent.

This is the fundamental mechanic of our current evolution. The process is messy, uncomfortable, and even scary, but it’s leading us to a beautiful place once we’ve landed on the other side of this transition.

The old world’s crumbling is a necessary demolition. As structures fall, they reveal the foundation upon which the new world must be built. That foundation is you. It is me. It is all of us. A golden age of Aquarius can’t be built on a humanity filled with unprocessed density, pain, and low vibrational baselines.

When your personal reality presents contrast, confusion, or a perceived step backward, remember what’s truly happening. This isn’t a sign of being off your path; it’s the path. Reality is mirroring the very density ready to be processed and integrated. It’s an invitation to descend, do the work, and raise your vibrational baseline.

The golden age won’t be delivered like an Amazon package. We must all do the vibrational work to step into it. That process happens not only by looking to the sky, but by going within. The only way out is through the messy, uncomfortable, and transformative work of descending into yourself.

That’s where you’ll find true ascension.
