The Minnesota Lynx beat the Golden State Valkyries soundly on Wednesday, improving upon their WNBA-best 30-7 record.

In the game, Minnesota guard Kayla McBride bucketed 20 points and hit a 3 with two minutes remaining in regulation. It was her 830th career made 3-pointer, surpassing Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon for the fourth-most in WNBA history.

The Lynx's incredible team chemistry was on full display during McBride's postgame press conference, which rookie sensation Olivia Miles crashed to ask a question: "Mac, what made you do the 'Night Night' celebration after that last 3?"

"Well, if you were here for the entire thing, I would have already said that," McBride joked. "But Steph Curry is my favorite player. You know, obviously, [we're] in his house. I've been to Oracle. I've watched the Warriors over the years. Just a competitive moment, taking advantage of it."

McBride added, "I also knew that I moved up, and I passed Becky, so just a hooper moment. I don't know. I can't explain it."

"So inspirational," Miles quipped. "I just love you."

"I love you so much," McBride said.

The Lynx are 15-1 over their past 16 games, dating back to July 8, so it goes without saying that the vibes are at an all-time high. At 34-10, Minnesota finished last season with the WNBA's best record, but lost to the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA semifinals. This team knows better than any other that regular-season excellence means nothing come the playoffs, but this year just feels like the Lynx's year to win their first WNBA title since 2017.
