While we may think about the data labeling work we do (to train whose + which machine learning models?) as trivial, the framing of it as being tied to our supposed humanness is worth digging into. This extension in its v0 form here downloads any CAPTCHA media encountered during web browsing, with a session.json log to gather additional telemetry. It’s quite scrappy; I’m rewriting it (with ample LLM synthesis help) to become a working diary of CAPTCHA encounters.
