You are getting this email because you subscribe to my newsletter New Releases, where I review recently republished books written more than 50 years ago.
Or at least, I used to, before I went through some life changes and shifted the direction I wanted to take my writing in. I may return to New Releases in the future, but for now I will remain on hiatus.
However, I do have a new Substack newsletter, called Outside the Scope.
Outside the Scope will be a free-flowing space where I write essays and amusements on whatever subject happens to pressing itself on my mind at the moment. I tend to have rotating obsessions that come upon me every 3 to 36 months, and I want a place where I can publish the essays that come out of these obsessions without being bound by a specific theme.
Since New Releases had a very specific goal in mind, I decided to create a brand new newsletter.
My first posts in Outside the Scope were a two part argument as to why video games are not an art form. You can read them here and here.
