Hey Everyone, Ruby here.
I honestly don’t remember the last time I messaged. I know it wasn’t too long ago because it was the day I announced the release date of book 1. But time has seemed to blur together since then.
However long it’s been, a lot has happened.
I underwent an invasive procedure, one I had gone through thrice before, so I knew the drill. Then, the day after, I got the stomach flu, all while during a particularly routine time of the month that all my fellow women experience. Long story short, I was bedridden for days, and not just in an ‘all I could do is sit up and watch TV’ kind of way, in a ‘the only two things I saw was the ceiling and the inside of my eyelids’ kind of way. I really don’t think I moved an inch for several hours straight as I went in and out of consciousness at the height of it all.
And needless to say, almost nothing in regard to the Misfits got done in that span of time.
But the thing is, that’s okay.
I’m not panicked; I’m not worried; I still have every confidence that The Lord placed that release date for the Misfits in my spirit for a reason and that, with his guidance, that’s exactly when it’s going to be released. Not a day sooner and not a day later.
When I was in California a few months back, a man by the name of Apostle Dan prophesied over me. During a powerful spirit-filled worship and prayer event, as I had my hands raised high in praise to our God, Apostle Dan came up to me, he called my name, grabbed my right wrist, and said:
“This book you’re writing, you’ve been writing it for six years, and through those years, you’ve wondered and felt as if you’ve been taking too long. As if you’ve delayed your progress. The Lord wants you to know you’re not, you’re not taking too long, you and Him are writing this together, and you are right on time.”
I kid you not, I could hear Apostle Dan’s voice in my head as I typed those words.
And it was those words that the Lord brought back to my memory today as I lay on my bed in tears while the Holy Spirit translated the groanings of my heart.
The Lord and I are right on time.
Tomorrow marks a whole week since the procedure, a whole week since this all began. That seems like a lot of time lost doesn’t it?
But it wasn’t.
Because God doesn’t lose track of time.
Me being unable to sit down and work on the Misfits for almost an entire week wasn’t something that caught God by surprise. That wasn’t something God didn’t foresee. He knew it would happen. And yet he still told me January 5th 2025. He still knew we’d be right on time.
All He wants from me right now, is to rest and trust in Him. and I do. I trust Him with my entire being. Every single fiber. There’s no need for panic, no need for fear. God is right here. Guiding every step of the way. and with Him at the helm, I have no shadow of a doubt that everything will be right on time.
Thank God, I’m finally on the mend, I was actually able to move about a little bit, but I’m definitely not out of the woods yet, we’ll see what the new day brings, and while I do, I’ll rest and wait on God and finally stop trying to control things.
While I went to make myself some tea, I remembered that the brand I had bought always has quotes on the back of their labels. After I poured the water, I looked down at the quote, and guess what quote I see:
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.
Nature is right on time.
And so is God and me.
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
Psalm 46:10
Glory to God Alone
