STEMtacular 2026

Newport NS were invited to represent Co. Mayo at the Stemtacular event in Leitrim on Wednesday 25th February 2026. 4th class worked hard for many weeks on their projects and spoke very well to all the judges who visited their stands. School Book Fair

Our Scholastic Book Fair will take place from Tue 24 to Fri 27 February. It will be open on Wednesday from 2:10-3:30pm for parents to come along and help their child choose and purchase some books. This is something the children really enjoy. Based on the book sales during the week, the school gets free books to add to our library stock. We are so thankful to all the people who support this.

West Mayo Sports Quiz

Well done to our 6th class boys who took part in the West Mayo Sports Quiz final recently. They secured a very impressive 3rd place. Congratulations to Tom, Jack, James & Toby.

Junior Infants - Maths Activity

Both of our Junior Infants classes worked together on some sequencing activities for maths. They join together regularly for different subject topics.
