If I was unsure of whether or not I was on Reddit a ton, this would be a big enough sign.

I’ve used the platform actively for about a year and a half and have account statistics and achievements that represent the usage of probably like a decade lol. I promise I have a life outside of here, I just am off on Reddit when passing by time. submitted by /u/Quick_Coyote_7649 [link] [comments]

Battery lasted over 25 years

I got this toy as a birthday present when i turned 1 year old. The battery on this thing lasted until 2025. Too bad only way you can replace the battery is to break it which i will not do. This is a future family heirloom submitted by /u/nykanee [link] [comments]

The longest 'Fetch' ever

In 2012, a Canadian man and his Whippet made frisbee history with an incredible 122.5-meter (401-foot) throw-and-catch. The remarkable feat earned them a Guinness World Record and showed just how much speed, timing, and trust can matter between a dog and its handler. The catch required more than simply running fast. The dog had to track a flying disc across a huge distance, judge its trajectory,…

I took a photo during sunset looking East, and it looks like the sky is split in half by a shadow.

I took this picture while driving at sunset in Italy. I was looking East (away from the sun), and this huge shadow was splitting the sky perfectly in two. I later found out these are called anticrepuscular rays! The shadow is actually being cast by a mountain or a cloud far behind me in the West. submitted by /u/ScienceDetective15 [link] [comments]

Story of famous song that sounds english but is actualy gibberish

In 1972, Italian singer and actor Adriano Celentano released "Prisencolinensinainciusol," one of the most bizarre musical experiments of its time. The song's lyrics do not belong to any real language. They consist of invented syllables designed to mimic the rhythm, pronunciation, and cadence of American English, as it might sound to someone who does not understand the language. The only clear…

A music festival campsite the morning after an emergency evacuation for a storm

This was a music festival campsite. Weather reports had announced a massive storm well in advance but the organizers hadn’t taken any precautions or prepared for an evacuation. About one hour before the storm hit they started taking down the ferris wheel. Half an hour later they started closing food stands. Only around 20 minutes before the storm hit did they shut the festival down and announce an…
