My path toward chemistry was not clear and straightforward from an early age. As a child, I was convinced that I would become either a figure skater or a teacher. During lower secondary school, I became interested in business studies, and at the beginning of upper secondary school, I was fairly certain that I wanted to study medicine. Because of that, I focused heavily on science subjects.
The new academic year at Centria University of Applied Sciences will begin with orientation days during the week starting Monday, 24 August. This autumn, more than 1 000 new students will start their studies at Centria.

The trainee period starts in september and lasts for 3 months, with a weekly working time of 29 hours. The program supports professional development, strengthens working-life skills, and provides a valuable employment certificate for future job applications.
