Lying for Likes - The Epic Implosion of the Very Online Dissident Right

So the Next Big Thing recently happened, which is the US bombing of Iran, now nearing two weeks in duration at the time of this writing. This war has generated quite a bit of sound and fury among the Very Online Commentariat, as well as a rift in the broad Right. Conventional MAGA types (i.e. Team Catturd) generally support the bombings, while the groyper set (i.e. Team Señor Nicolás Fuentes) oppose it. Sadly, it has sucked the air out of the room for other, more important, issues such as immigration policy.

Personally, I am not even that sold on this war. I think it’s a questionable venture, to say the least, and I’m not really convinced it was all that well-planned by those who initiated it. On the other hand, I am old enough to have seen decades of Iranian-backed Islamic terrorism all around the world that has deliberately targeted civilians, so I’m not exactly sad to see the “Islamic Republic’s” leadership get decapitated and their war-making infrastructure annihilated. Nevertheless, in the main I tend to think this war is a NeoCon-inspired venture designed to suck Trump into a politically dangerous situation which they can then use to lose the midterm elections should it go south on us - which is what the Establishment GOPers want - and then blame it on immigration enforcement (since obviously, losing a sandbox war wouldn’t be politically devastating or anything). I’m not persuaded in favour of this war but am adopting a “wait and see” attitude towards it while hoping that Ol’ Donny Trump wiggles his way out of this jam.

Ah well, nevertheless.

So I definitely think there is room in the debate for a principled anti-war stance. Sadly, this is not at all what I’ve been observing from a lot of the ostensible Dissident Right who opposes the war. What I have been seeing, instead, are a lot of trash arguments and blatant falsehoods buttressed by insipid “reasoning,” and I’m thinking that most of it exists for political purposes, not ones that are genuinely concerned about what’s good for America. In other words, there are simply a lot of grifters and morons who are jumping on the bandwagon because they think it’s a vehicle for undercutting Trump because they’re mad about some pet issue or whatnot. I don’t consider these people to be either rational or good faith actors.

There has been a legion of “based, Dissident Right influencers” who have been responsible for massive amounts of misinformation. In fact, there doesn’t seem to be a single third-world bot-inspired fakeout or cable fable that folks ranging from the dimwitted like Jake Shields to the supposedly “respectable” like Robert Barnes won’t agree and amplify. We’ve been told that the American war effort has completely failed and that Iran is stronger than ever (obviously not true). We’ve heard that every American base in the Middle East has been completely destroyed. We’ve were notified that there are thousands of secret American casualties whose families are strangely silent. We’ve been breathlessly warned that Trump is reinstituting the draft and is sending in thousands of boots on the ground. We were treated to claims (coupled with AI-generated pictures!) that hundreds of Delta Force soldiers had been captured by the Iranians. We’ve seen obviously fake AI videos of Iranian missiles sinking American aircraft carriers (this one apparently even made it onto Chinese state television). Every single day since the war started, there has been a barrel full of slop churned out from some server farm in Pakistan or Indonesia that these people have cracked open and dumped all over the place.

Of course, we shouldn’t be surprised. For the previous two months, most of these same people were peddling falsehoods supposedly drawn from tHe EpStEiN fiLeS!!1! in an effort to somehow, some way, connect Trump to “protecting pedophiles!!!” or even being one himself. Again, pretty much all we were hearing were lies and wild-eyed suppositions drawn from discredited “witnesses” who admitted in court that they lied or reports of FBI tipline “tips” from obvious schizophrenics. Worse, these people achieved nothing but discrediting the Epstein document dump itself, taking what should have been a steady process of sifting through the evidence, building cases, and bringing actual perpetrators to trial and tainting it so that there’s nothing that can likely be legally done now. All because they were too stupid and shortsighted to be able to exercise a little low time preference.

Then you have the people who are openly rooting for Iran to kill US soldiers and sink US ships. It’s understandable when low-IQ third worlders do this. After all, they’re just sad, covetous little NPCs who need to be reacquainted with the whip and the butt of the gun. It’s quite another when it’s ostensible Americans and “nationalists” (of all people) who are openly rooting for this. I’ve already said above that I don’t think this war is a good idea and I have many doubts about its wisdom, but that does not mean I’m going to root for American soldiers to get killed or for the American economy to be destroyed. You can be a skeptic without being a traitor. If you want to root for farmboys from Missouri or south Georgia to get killed because of your weird obsessions with Israel or whatever, then just go ahead and turn in your White person card and go be a functional turd worlder somewhere else.

Throughout all of this, the “based, Dissident Right” podcast crew has thoroughly dynamited its own credibility. Practically nobody on the Right trusts the mainstream media outlets because they have huckstered propaganda and misinformation for decades. One of the points to having alternative news and information sources like we supposedly had on the internet and elsewhere was so that we could get around the information blockade. What are we supposedly to do when a large chunk of this alternative ends up pushing fake, AI-generated slop and obviously false stories on behalf of a blatantly transparent political agenda of their own? I mean, it really seems like there a good chance that many of these recently-minted anti-Trumpers like MGT, Barnes, Baris, Paul Ramsey, etc. thought they might get positions in the incoming administration and became disappointed and vindictive when it didn’t happen. Hence, the constant drumbeat of fake news from that quarter. But this raises the much more serious question that when you can’t trust the MSM and you also can’t trust the alternatives, where do you turn?

The justification for all of this, of course, is that this is a “war for Israel.” People who think that way, I tend to consider to be brownoid spiritual third-worlders. Now, my general position on Israel is that I don’t care about it either way. I’m neither pro-Israel nor viscerally against it. To me, Israel is just another country that tries, and often succeeds, in influencing our politicians, which is something that should be stopped. But if our interests happen to coincide at times with theirs, then so be it. I’m not going to freak out and reflexively take a position against something just because Israel is for it. I don’t go in for all the modern Dispie Israeltard stuff, nor do I hold with the “Jews secretly run the entire world” Israeltard stuff, either. In my mind, BOTH are equally two sides of the same retarded coin.

Indeed, I find a lot of the fear of the Jews that many of these “based Dissident Right” podcaster types have to be embarrassing for White people. Is there some basis to the conspiracy theories? Probably so. After all, the Bilderbergers and the TriLats and all the rest are real things. But do these have the lock on power that many conspiracy theorists think they do? Obviously not. If they did, the world would already be a far different place than it is now and they wouldn’t need to operate in the shadows. So if you’re a “White nationalist” then act like it. Act like a White man. Act like the people who subdued the entire rest of the world and brought it civilisation and all that. Stop being a tropological Pakistani and blaming all your problems on the Jews. Grow up and be a man and take some agency. There’s nothing special about Jews, they’re just another steppe tribe with an unusually high level of ethnic cohesion.

Eschatologically, I would consider myself to be an historical premillennialist (which was, by the way, the position held by the Church for the first three and a half centuries). As such, I don’t hold to the modern Dispensationalist view that the state of Israel is some special eschatological restoration that the entire world should revolve around. Indeed, I don’t even think that modern Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews are descended from ancient Israel at all. I hold to the Khazar theory, which says that these groups of Jews are descended from a Turkic steppe tribe called the Khazars who converted to Judaism in the 10th century and who, after the destruction of their Empire, fled westward and mixed with various Slavic, Germanic, Italian, and Spanish groups, something which generally seems to be supported by genetic data. So when I say that the entire world shouldn’t revolve around Israel, I mean it both ways - don’t accord them more importance than they actually deserve in either direction.

But an obsession with ThE jEwS isn’t the only problem here with these folks. Indeed, there are so, so many others. As alluded to above, there is a strain of rampant third-worldism among many of these people that renders them incapable of seeing anything besides anti-Western resentment (which is especially odd for supposed “white” nationalists). Because of this, there is a great deal of “third worldish” thinking that goes along with this. For instance, there is a gullibility towards things that tell them what they want to hear that borders on the retarded, but which is exactly the kind of thing you see from Indians or Africans, for example. This couples with a strand of wishful thinking that leads them to create baudrillardian hyperrealities built around a set of semiotics which they share internally but which outsiders find mystifying. Buttressing all of this is a simple lack of emotional self-control. Because they’re so angry and depressed and disappointed, rightly or wrongly, they become like emotional cattle which can be herded in any direction their handlers desire. (Ironically, this is probably where the Jews would come into play to the greatest degree since their behaviour discredits their overall positions and ends up indirectly “supporting Israel” by making many folks “give them a second look.”)

Also, there is the logically spurious notion that “dissidence,” in and of itself, is virtuous on its own, that simple opposition to whoever is in power is some sort of principled position to take, apart from any connecting context. Much of this arises from the outsized influence that Very Online Libertarianism has on social media (in contrast to the relative paucity of actual libertarians in real life). In the real world, libertarianism is largely a dead end and most functional adults realise this (even if they don’t agree on their preferred alternative). This is because libertarianism doesn’t actually propose workable solutions to problems and the things it does propose (like Cato Institute-style open borders, for example) are actively detrimental to a functional civil society. That’s why it is represented by grandstanders like Thomas Massie, people who very loudly proclaim how “principled” they are, even though they’re just as hypocritical as the rest of the politicians. For instance, Massie goes on at length about politicians taking money from AIPAC, yet neglects to be forthright about his own fundraising from foreign special interest groups.

Personally, I think getting money from either is bad and should be ended. But if you’re going to try to differentiate your incipient movement from MAGA and call yourselves “America First,” then at least be consistent on this issue. If it’s bad for Trump to get money from Sheldon Adelson then it’s also bad for Thomas Massie to get money from Trita Parsi.

If I sound like I’m a little pissed off in this piece, it’s because I am. I’m tired of being lied to by short-sighted slop merchants who think calling people “Jews” when they get pushback is convincing. I’m tired of these idiots spending months distracting from real issues like immigration enforcement and industrial reshoring. I’m tired of third-world sympathising blabbermouths doing everything they can to try to divide the first real America First movement we’ve had in decades that actually got into positions to do something. I’m tired of supposedly “right wing” backstabbers acting like functional leftists every chance they get. I’m tired of the disingenuity and specious arguments and intellectually dishonest spin that these people have been vomiting out over and over and over. They complain about Jews but then they act just like them with their subversion and hairsplitting phariseeism.

It’s bad enough to have the NeoCons and establishment types constantly at Trump’s ear trying to draw him off in bad directions. We don’t need the slopsters making it worse by dividing and discrediting the Real Right and strengthening the relative position of those establishmentarians (I often wonder if that’s actually the purpose for these folks). I’d like for us to be able to actually carry through a genuinely America First réaménagement without having a civil war in the process, but these folks are making that much less likely by being short-sighted ninnies. For the good of the country, ALL subversive elements - NeoCons, Jewish billionaires, and “based, Dissident Right” weirdos pushing a third-world agenda alike - need to be stopped.
