I have always loved the public library. You can get books and movies and CDs (when you might have wanted CDs) for free! One of the first things I’ve done in Berkeley, San Francisco, NYC, Boston, Brookline, back in NYC is to get a library card. I think I got my Boston Public Library card the second day we were in Boston. Now, I have a NYPL card and a Wellfleet Public Library card, because we have gone to Wellfleet for family vacations in August for nearly 20 years.

And now you can find my novel Acts of Lovingkindness at the New York Public Library! Someone has already put it on hold!

So if you live in NYC, go check it out! Literally!

I’ve also finished a working draft of my second novel “Your Mileage May Vary” and have a few friends reading it to give me notes. My next step will be to incorporate those notes and polish the draft and then write a query letter so that I can contact literary agents to get representation to sell the book. I’m hopeful that this time around, the process will be smoother since I learned a lot from my first go-round, but also from many friends who are going through the same thing. But, if I don’t get any bites, I’m not overly concerned. I will just self-publish the next novel.

Let me know if you want more information about “Your Mileage May Vary.” Maybe the next post will be about that book and the characters and plot!
