Ambushed by Praise: Singing Through the Battle

Jehoshaphat’s army did something militarily indefensible. They put the singers in front.

And the text is careful about the timing: when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments. Not after the victory. Not in celebration of it. The singing came first, and the ambush followed it.

This is why worship at a deliverance meeting is not a warm-up for the real thing. It is part of the real thing. Something happens in the atmosphere of sustained, unhurried worship that does not happen in five rushed songs before an announcement.

Ministering in worship at this edition of NEBAM: Min. Dunsin Oyekan.

Come early enough to worship. Not to catch the end of worship — to be in it from the beginning. Doors are at 5pm on the 19th and 20th.

The people who receive most at meetings like this are almost always the people who arrived before they needed to.
