Natasha Stagg · Selling Out

The response to my short piece for Volume 0, which I cross-posted here, has been a pleasant surprise, and a reminder that I should maybe let up on the paywall once in a while if I want more readers. Do I? That question scares me. Anyway, the votes of confidence have come at the right time, at summer’s melancholic wind-down, so thank you, and hello.

I’m participating in a New York reading next week that I can give you details about soon, and a House of Books-hosted “salon” at the Kent, Connecticut restaurant Swyft on August 27th, which is already sold out.

Onboard the aforementioned Ocean Boulevard, I didn’t take many photos, even when a pod of bottlenose dolphins were leaping into the air and then, after we spun the boat around to see them again, swimming alongside us (a form of animal surfing called bow-riding, I’m told), right there below where I was standing, crisscrossing like on the Lisa Frank Trapper Keepers of our youth.
