I’ve had something of an existential crisis with Instagram this year, but was glad to return and discover Galerie Terminus — a company that specialises in furniture sourcing, custom production and restoration. Based in Sydney, and servicing clients internationally.

A local discovery — Number Thirty Three is a Byron Bay brand focussed on simple every day classics. My mum bought me these beautiful wool cashmere socks. Available online and (for locals) at the Bangalow Post Office!

Recently I visited the pottery studio of Muckware Ceramics, the brand of Grace Chaplin, looking for an olive oil pourer. She showed me her new Pecan colour way range and I couldn’t resist. Now the collection is live on her website.

A few weekends ago we bought a fire pit for our garden. It was mainly for our youngest, who loves to spend hours upon hours collecting kindling, chopping firewood, building the fire, tending it, roasting apples and toasting marshmallows.

A parcel of tile samples arrived recently — partly for a design client, and partly for my own home. I’m considering the ‘Shitake’ Zellige for our bathroom. It has a beautiful richness of tone, while feeling in harmony with the 1960s palette of the original interiors.

I’ve been quietly obsessed with a new podcast by renowned researcher Brené Brown and organisational psychologist Adam Grant. It feels refreshing to listen to people who don’t claim to know all the answers, but are curious to have conversations and explore where it takes them. It’s equally refreshing that they haven chosen not to edit out natural pauses in conversation.

On (another) recent rainy day we went for a drive to Murwillumbah and treated ourselves at the award-winning Gelato & Co. They make the most delicious mango flavour. Biscoff was another favourite.
