Class Preparation:

Prior to attending the class, please complete the following:

-Make 2 photocopies of your piece.

-Please measure and cut the embroidery floss or Perle Cotton size 5 for your cording.

for all pieces smaller than 5x5, You will want to measure yard long stands and can have up to four colors. Once you measure, please count out strands following the chart below and knot both ends of each group of colors. Be sure to avoid knotting all the colors together in one big bunch of mixed colors.

1 color: 3 groups of 5 strands

2 colors: 2 groups of 8 strands

3 colors: 3 groups of 5 strands

4 colors: 4 groups of 4 strands

For 5x5 square ornaments or any larger ornament, loosely lay the floss around the stitching 2.3-3 times to determine the required strand length. Cut all additional strands using this measurement.

If you are finishing one of the Postcard Row Stars, you can download the template below. As a reminder, you can use “LITASTARS15” for 15% off these stars.
