With my devices, there are always moving parts. Things are always coming and going. That’s the intersection of being an enthusiast and a minimalist. I want the latest, but I don’t want the clutter. When something arrives, something else has to leave.
I just sold the M4 Mac mini, and I miss it already. But we still own the M2 MacBook Air. It gets the job done for 99% of what we need a computer for.
I’ll be selling the Steam Deck OLED next, since it’s now replaced by the AYN Thor and the Steam Machine. Both can run Steam games. One is more portable. The other is more powerful. Together, they simplify my office and EDC packing.
The goal has never been to own more technology. It’s to end up with the right technology.
